TA KYMATIKA

YEAR: 2008
TECHNOLOGY: Three tables, copper tubes, water, speakers, amplifier

The sound installation Ta Kymatika consists of three tables where the surface is replaced by water. Sound from injured organs of human beings passes through the water, sound waves are reflected in the water. Trauma from assaults, war and torture etc are stored in the body and gives us injuries that we cannot catch in meetings with other people. It is as if the tables have collected, filtered and then transformed what we could not express with words.
